Book Blogger Hop (4)

Book Blogger Hop

In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word! This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs to read!

This week's question comes from:
Tina @ Book Couture

"How do you spread the word about your blog?
(e.g. Social Networking sites, Book Blog Directories, comments on other blogs...)"

I don't think I spread the word about my blog very well.  I've yet to find the secret.  Aside from participating in the Book Blogger Hop, most of my "self-promotion" is done via commenting on other blogs and tweeting when I've put up a new review.

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog! The hops have been the best way of meeting other bloggers outside of Twitter. Those are the main 2 sources of traffic for me, and I like to go out and leave comments during the week. I look forward to being a new follower of yours!

  3. I know, I think I've yet to find that secret too, lol :D I do a lot of commenting like you, as I find that's one of the most meaningful ways to connect to other bloggers. I have found the hop quite helpful though!

  4. Hey! Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I love your blog design and enjoyed reading your review of Ever. I think Gail Carson Levine is an awesome author and I am always trying to get my students to try out her books.

I am a new follower! :) Happy hopping.

  5. Came from the Hop! I adore your layout! So pretty!

I mostly connect with other bloggers by genuinely commenting on their reviews and talking with them on Twitter. That has been what has helped me the most! When I started my blog in June, I did alot of these memes just to meet people but I've cut back on those and do them on occasion to meet new people..which is dangerous because my Google Reader keeps exploding! :)

  6. Just hoppin' on by! <3

Well, I think it's awesome that we have advertisement strategies that are almost exactly alike! I prefer getting to know other bloggers and commenting on their posts, rather than try to advertise and end up sounding lame in the attempt. :s

    Happy weekend <3

  7. Hopping through. I'm like you - the Hops and commenting with a little twitter are the best publicity.

  11. Hopping on by (finally) to visit! :) Maybe we'll both get some good ideas about self-promotion this week. I have yet to jump on Twitter.... but maybe I'll give it a go in the future.

    Have a great weekend!

  13. Hello! New follower here and I think commenting on other blogs and participating in blog hops and what not is a great way to get the word out on your blog.

Twitter is another good way. I do it all for my blog and so far, it's starting to work in my favor so I'm glad for it. All the hard work does pay off though so keep it up! =)

It looks like we read the same kinds of books so I look forward to reading more of your posts.

    Happy reading!
