In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word! This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs to read!
This week's question comes from:
Sarah @ SarahReadsTooMuch
Do you judge a book by its cover?

Do you judge a book by its cover?
I must admit that I often do judge a book by its cover. I think a lot of people do. A cover is part of the overall package. If it's good, it can entice you to pick up the book. If it's bad, it can turn you right off.
Some covers are works of art that you want to have sitting on your bookshelf, which makes me disinclined to believe those who say that the popularity of e-books will soon mean the demise of printed books.

Hi, just stopping by on the hop! Hope you're right that the demise of the printed book isn't coming anytime soon...there's something about flipping the pages of an actual physical book that just can't be replaced with a screen!

A Tapestry of Words
People still by CDs not just downloadable music for the same reason, I think. There's just something nice about having a physical thing that looks pretty to own.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by :)

Thank you for stopping by! Very good point about e-books too, I hadn't even considered that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! I'm now following yours. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit! I have to agree with you about some books being works of art. My favorites, though, are the sturdy, old books, usually old rebound library copies, that feel wonderful in your hands and have that distinct old book smell. And, as much as I love ebooks, printed books are very easy to leave lying around to lure curious children into picking them up. :)
ReplyDeleteJust popping in via the hop to say hi! Everyone I've visited today has said they judge the book by the cover, I think it's difficult not to when it's the first thing you see! I'm your newest follower and I look forward to reading more of your reviews:)
ReplyDeleteHi :) First time here and I agree that the cover is the total package. I love it when the cover matches the book/story. Hope you have a great weekend!!
