(synopsis from Goodreads)
Here's another cute counting book. This one has decent rhyme and meter, and a sweet collection of things to count.
I do have one complaint, and I'm probably not going to be the only one bothered by it. On the page for EIGHT, a rainbow is depicted... with eight colours. And they're not even the standard spectrum colours. Instead, we have red, pink, orange, gold, yellow, green, turquoise, and blue!
The pictures are cute and colourful, and almost seem a bit retro. I don't really have any complaints about those, other than the rainbow. The items are all clear and easy to count, with the possible exception of the family members in picture frames on the SEVEN page. There are only six frames, though there are seven animals. Just be aware of that if you're reading it with little kids and make sure they count the animals, not the frames.
While this isn't the best counting book I've read, it's certainly not the worst. I enjoyed the illustrations, and the rhyming text was nice. I would probably recommend it, though with the warnings mentioned above.
