Looking for some well-written YA verse novels...

I'm looking for some recommendations for some good young adult novels told in verse.  Genre doesn't really matter (historical, fantasy, contemporary... whatever), but I'm looking for ones that are well written and not too long.

Please leave your recommendations in the comments.  Thanks!

  1. The first one I can think of is The Day Before by Lisa Schroeder. It was very good. (Although, it's not due for release until next month.)

The other one I can think of is Glimpse by Carol Lynch Williams. It is also very good, and was released last year.

  2. If you're looking for a lighter read Heaven Looks A Lot Like the Mall by Wendy Mass is a quick funny read written in verse.

  3. Verse novels are my simple pleasure. Hands down Lisa Schroeder is my favourite so I recommend all of hers, I heart you, You haunt me my favourite.

Exposed by Kimberly Marcus was also very good.

Crank by Ellen Hopkins, her verse novels are very popula, I enjoyed the content but didn't enjoy it in Verse really.

I have also read Glimpse and Looks a Lot like the Mall has been recommended to me.

    Enjoy what you choose.

  4. I absolutely loved Lisa Schroeder's CHASING BROOKLYN and I've read most of Sonya Sones' YA verse novels. They've all been pretty good :)

  6. Lisa Schroeder writes really nice ones. I'm not a fan of verse novels to be honest but I really like hers!
